Welcome to NatssGoodEatss Reviews! For my first recipe review, I'm writing about Maple Pumpkin Breakfast Bars by Iowa Girl Eats.
As someone who enjoys 'simple food,' this recipe was very simple and easy to follow. It was only a few steps which explain everything well.
The mix of the maple flavor with the pumpkin was very nice and light, making it delicious. It felt more like a muffin because it had a soft and moist texture, but that's what I liked about it! I'm glad it wasn't dry and chewy but rather soft and light. I did not include chia seeds or pecans because I personally didn't want to, but if you like those then you can definitely add them to the mix as stated in the recipe.
I recommend this recipe for both pumpkin lovers and those who are not too crazy about it because the flavor is light, rather than overpowering. The pumpkin combines great with the taste of the pure maple syrup and the oats, so don't be discouraged by the mention of pumpkin! Plus, it's a gluten-free recipe.
So if you're not sure, give it a try and see what you think. It's a great and yummy recipe that's worth trying. I really enjoyed these Maple Pumpkin Oatmeal Breakfast Bars!

Maple Pumpkin Oatmeal Breakfast Bars
To celebrate three years since I adopted my doggo, I wanted to bake him some yummy treats! I wanted a recipe that uses pumpkin since pumpkin is good for his stomach (which is very sensitive). I came across this healthy dog treat recipe and thought it was perfect! It's simple, quick, and healthy!
The recipe only requires 3 cups of old-fashioned oats made into flour, 2 eggs, and 1 cup of pumpkin puree. The directions suggest using a food processor, but I used a blender instead since my food processor was too small. A blender works well to turn the oats into flour and it's what I use for most of my recipes.
Now even though I enjoyed making the treats, the taste test and ultimate decision is determined by my dog. I've tried different pumpkin treats to in an effort to get him to eat pumpkin and help his stomach, but he doesn't seem to like the flavor very much. But after letting the treats cool, I gave him one to try and he absolutely loved it! He kept staring at the counter and barking for more! I even tried it myself and thought it was quite tasty. With just a pinch of salt, it could make a perfect treat for me, too!
This healthy dog treat recipe was great. I'm so happy my pup enjoyed it and that I have a healthy recipe that I can share with him.
